Athletic lost game three of the final series to HIT 3:4. The series ended 0:3 — yet it is the best result in club history.
On Saturday, June 6, the UDHTU Arena hosted the third game of the Extra-Liha play-off final. In a tense match Athletic lost to HIT Kyiv 3:4, and the final series ended 0:3.
Despite the final result, the 2025/26 season became the most successful in club history. Silver medals of the Ukrainian championship are Athletic’s first honours at the top level. On the way to the final the team confidently swept both Kardynal-Avanhard and Sukha Balka 3:0.
In the regular season Athletic finished third: 20 matches, 10 wins, 4 draws, 6 losses and 34 points with a 71–64 goal difference — one of the most prolific attacks in the league.
Thank you to everyone who was with the team this season — in the UDHTU stands and by the screens. A new challenge is ahead: a UEFA Futsal Champions League debut.
