Athletic have reached the Extra-Liha play-off final for the first time in history! In game three of the semi-final series the team beat Sukha Balka away 5:3 and closed the series 3:0.
The semi-final was a confident one: two home wins at the UDHTU Arena — 3:1 and 5:1 — and a winning away finish. The team scored 13 goals in three games.
In the final Athletic will face HIT Kyiv — the regular season winners and a principal rival the team has already met this season in both the league and the Cup.
