Athletic Futsal open the play-offs with a victory over Kardynal-Avanhard and take the lead in the quarter-final series. The goals came from Vasyliev (1’), Kalyna (25’) and Vystavnyi (30’).
Captain Vladyslav Vasyliev opened the scoring inside the first minute, setting the tone for the whole match. In the second half Dmytro Kalyna and Oleh Vystavnyi extended the lead, and Dnipro saw the game out with confidence.
This is the first win in the best-of-three series — 1:0. Plenty of battle still lies ahead, as advancing requires three victories.
The next game of the series is the very next day at 12:00, again against Kardynal-Avanhard, giving the team a chance to stretch its lead in front of its own supporters.
