With the third round of the preliminary stage complete, Athletic Futsal now knows the full makeup of its group in the main round of the UEFA Champions League. The Dnipro club will play in Group 8 of Path B.
Athletic Futsal's opponents will be Serbia's Loznica-Grad, Czech side Chrudim and Austria's Athletic Club Graz. All main-round matches will be played from 27 October to 1 November at the arena of Loznica-Grad, who will host the group tournament.
For Athletic Futsal this is a historic debut in the UEFA Champions League. The club earned its place in Europe's premier club competition thanks to silver in the 2025/26 Extra League — the most successful season in its history — and currently sits 22nd in the ranking of Europe's best clubs.
Path B comes with a demanding format: only the winner of the group advances to the round of 16. That leaves virtually no margin for error across the three matches in Serbia.
The team has already begun its new campaign, opening the Extra League season with a home derby win over Sukha Balka (3:2). Now the focus turns to preparing for the decisive European fixtures, as the continental challenge draws ever closer.
