Athletic head coach Oleksandr Kabanenko received an award for Coach's Day at the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Administration.
Athletic Futsal head coach Oleksandr Kabanenko has received an award to mark Coach's Day, celebrated annually in Ukraine on 19 July.
The Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration honoured the region's best coaches. The awards were presented to the specialists by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Ganzha.
The award was a well-deserved recognition of the work of Oleksandr Kabanenko, under whose leadership Athletic Futsal last season achieved the best result in the club's history. The team became Extra Liga silver medalists, losing only in the final, and earned a historic ticket to the UEFA Champions League.
Under Kabanenko's guidance, the Dnipro side produced one of the league's most prolific attacks and came through the playoffs with authority, seeing off Kardinal-Avangard and Sukha Balka in their series. It was this work that lifted Athletic to the European level ahead of the club's debut continental season.
The club congratulated Oleksandr Kabanenko on the honour and wished him new victories and bright achievements together with Athletic Futsal — both in Ukraine and on the international stage.
