In the third game of the semi-final series Athletic Futsal defeated Sukha Balka 5:3 and closed out the tie with a commanding 3:0. The win brought the club two historic milestones at once: a place in the BetKing Extra-Liga final and a ticket to the UEFA Champions League for the 2026/27 season.
The series against Sukha Balka went convincingly for Dnipro from the very first game. At home Athletic won both matches — 3:1 (09.05) and 5:1 (10.05) — and sealed the decisive away tie with a 5:3 result (16.05), without conceding a single game to the opponent.
The team had reached the semi-finals through the quarter-final series against Kardynal-Avanhard, which was also won 3:0. In the play-offs Athletic thus recorded six straight wins and never once allowed an opponent to level a series.
The side showed character, skill and genuine unity, taking another major step in the club's history. Ahead lies the final series, where Athletic Futsal will fight for the championship title.
