In their first pre-season friendly, Athletic comfortably beat amateur side Dnipro-2023 by 7-0.
Athletic Futsal played their first pre-season friendly — and immediately claimed their first win. The Dnipro side's opponents were Dnipro-2023, an amateur team from Dnipro that competes in regional football and futsal tournaments.
The match ended in a confident 7-0 victory for Athletic. Levy opened the scoring after a pass from Andre, and further goals came from Krymkovyi (assisted by Kalashnyk), Andre (Levy), Nahornyi (Krymkovyi), Vystavnoi into an empty net, Terentiev (Zingel) and Faidor (Vasyliev). The goals were shared among seven different scorers, with several players providing assists.
Among the scorers was new signing, Brazilian Levy Costa, who quickly joined the attacking play and opened his account in an Athletic shirt.
The game was a good opportunity to test the team's readiness, build on-court combinations and get into tone before the new season. The wide spread of goals reflects the variety in attack that Athletic showed throughout last season as well.
The club thanked Dnipro-2023 for the game, the useful workout and the sporting atmosphere. Ahead of the Dnipro side lie plenty of work and further control matches as part of the build-up to the 2026/27 season, in which the team makes its debut in the UEFA Champions League.
